My Favorite Pet Hamster

Have you ever had a pet hamster?
Once I had one and I can say that pet hamsters are the sweetest pets. As a pet owner I paid great attention to his feeding and exercise. First of all, I found out a lot of information about feeding hamsters.
If you just brought a hamster home or are thinking about it, there’s a lot to keep in mind.
I have learned that it’s better not to give them any sugary and/or salty food like honey, yogurt, raw beans and potatoes. Feed your hamster pasta, cooked brown rice, spinach, pumpkin seeds and peanut butter. The last one is what pet hamsters prefer the most.
It’s funny the way they eat peanut butter. But you should be careful when treating him because it may get stuck to the inside of his cheeks.
I recommend you don’t give raw beans to your hamster as I have learned from my own experience that it is simply not a good idea.
Also pay attention to exercise. Hamsters like running very much as they are very active. They can run on a hamster wheel for hours. I can assure it’s a very funny and interesting process. I remember the way my sweet hamster used to run on his wheel. That was something amazing to watch!
You can make the tunnels or tubes for your pet hamster yourself. Once I made a tunnel for my hamster from cardboard. You can’t imagine how sweet a hamster looks when he’s running.
Take care of your hamster’s teeth. Fruit tree branches, cardboard and paper rolls are what they need to keep the teeth in good shape. But make sure that the tree branches are pesticide-free.
Also take care of your hamster’s skin. I used to make a sand bath for my hamster where he could roll around and dig. That what keeps a hamster’s skin in good condition. It’s also rather funny to watch the way a hamster digs.
Hamsters are really sweet funny creatures. Take care of your pet hamster properly and enjoy watching what he does!
