Exotic Pets Hit The Ground
09 Aug 2011
Do you think you know everything about pets you own? As a parrot pet owner I thought I knew everything about my pet. But recently I discovered for me cockatoos. Strange as it can sound I had no idea about how astonishing these exotic pets can be.
I saw the videos of a beautiful white cockatoo that was dancing. Snowball — this is how he was named. Don’t tell me there are numerous such exotic pets you can see over the Internet, because Snowball is really unique. Do you know why? This bird doesn’t simply move his head from side to side but actually performs all the movements according to the beat.
When watching him, I could feel that he feels the rhythm more correctly than I do. And I am inclined to think that we humans are not the only creatures who appreciate music. There is only one thing that worries me — his taste of music, because he enjoys dancing to Backstreet Boys.
Come on Snowball, you’re already a big boy for it.
There are so many things we don’t know about pets yet. However, it’s good to know that the pets don’t wait until we’ll start studying them, but display their skills on their own. I can’t imagine me in the same room with Snowball. We’ll probably dance to Michael Jackson, and I am sure he’ll do better. But imagine what fun it’ll be.
Interestingly, scientists discovered a type of elephant and fourteen species of parrots that can move to the beat. Perhaps it’s the parrots’ ability to copy sounds that makes them move that correctly to the beats, the scientists assume. If you are a dog or cat pet owner, then you should be already knowing that dogs and cats have sense of music.
As for me, as I already said I have a parrot and I’ll be the happiest parrot pet owner on the day my parrot starts dancing better than Snowball. I admit the task is hard, but never impossible.
