My Aquarium Tropical Fish

My Aquarium Tropical FishThe Chinese were the first to keep aquarium fish for decorative purposes. Nowadays, fish keeping is a popular hobby that many people enjoy.

I own an aquarium with tropical fish. It was given to me on my birthday. At first I had no idea how to take care of it. I thought it would be quite difficult.

Then I asked some of my friends who had aquariums with tropical fish, and they gave me some advice.

I learned that aquarium tropical fish demand fresh water. The water in the tank needs to be filtered and changed  weekly. But there is no need to empty the entire tank, since it can be stressful for the fish. Approximately 20 percent of the water should be changed.

The temperature of the tank should be steady as tropical fish don’t like sudden changes. Soap or any other cleaner shouldn’t be used to clean the inner part of the tank. You shouldn’t put hands frequently in the aquarium, as skin oils may hurt the fish.

I also inquired about the kind of food to feed my tropical fish. I was advised to read the food label carefully. I was told to provide my fish with the right amount of protein, fat and carbohydrates. It should contain 30-36 percent protein, approximately 10 percent fat and a low percentage of carbohydrates. The food should be stored in a dry and cool place.

I am really glad that I own aquarium tropical fish. I relax watching my fish and hearing the sound of the bubbles from the tank.
